Sunwise teams up with Kate Potter at Cotic Bonrager Race Team
Kate is the person who makes it all happen on the race track. She's now into her 5th season of top level competition and has gone from strength to strength since 2006 in order to race in her native Australia, where she took 2nd overall in their NPS and a bronze medal at their Aussie National Champs. Kate first came to prominence on the race scene in 2004 by winning the first 24hr solo race she ever entered, the Shimano Sleepless in the Saddle, and soon established herself as a formidable competitor at the ultra distance events. In 2005 she also diversified into short course XC racing in the UK NPS, and in 2006 came second in her category with her then team mate in the TransAlp.
She wears Sunwise sunglasses for campaigning the 2009 Mountain Bike World Championship and 2010 season competing in the UK National Points Series, World Cup Series across Europe and Canada, plus select mountain bike stage races and road cycling events. Sunwise is delighted to add Kate to new Sunwise team members. |
Kate in her Sunwise Peak White sunglasses races a Cotic Soda titanium hardtail with Bontrager Wheelworks and Components throughout, as well as a prototype Cotic full suspension frame (called the KP24) designed for her use in the ultra distance events. When on guiding/skills training duties with AQR Holidays, Kate will be riding a fully Bontrager equipped Cotic Soul.

Sunwise has entered the growing sport of cycling,by sponsoring
Sportbeans.co.uk one of UK based professional cycling teams!’ This year ‘the

They currently have Marcin Babliocki their star rider standing in 8th place for the overall points scored in the
premier league calendar and the team has performed outstandingly well in the recent ITV 4 supported tourseries.co.uk (town centre races) against some intense competition.

They wear exclusively Sunwise on their bikes and have
found the product like the ‘waterloo’ to perform outstandingly well in comparison to some of the higher profile brands.

Back to winning ways for Jim Clark!
Sunwise GT Rallying got their British Rally Championship back on track over the weekend with a dominant win in the R1 British Rally Championship and the Swift Sport Cup. The Cooks Car and Van Hire, PIAA lighting UK backed crew went into the Jim Clark Rally on the back of two disappointing rallies, The Bulldog and The Pirelli Internationals as a result of problems with their pace note system.
Driver Gordon Nichol and Emma Morrison went into the rally lying in second in both championships and knew that only a win would do if the championship was not going to be lost come the end of the year. This year though the SunWise Sun Glasses GT Rallying driver knew that only a win would do and this he delivered on his home event.
Gordon, Emma and the whole GT Rally team would like to thank everyone who wished them well over the weekend from the hundreds of spectators to the marshals and organisers of the rally. "We would like to thank Sunwise UK, PIAA Lighting, Airbrush Perfection, Advanced Signs of Galashiels and of course all the guys down at Cooks Car and Van Hire in Newtown for their continued support with us, it`s been a long time coming but I am so glad I could get all the sponsors the win and show that they had backed the right car”.

Thundersprint Cavalcade Sponsored by Sunwise Sunglasses:
With over 220 race and road bikes strutting their stuff over three 2 and a 1/2 mile laps of Northwich the Thundersprint Cavalcade has got to be one of the great spectacles in the motorcycling world. That it can take place at all is a huge credit to Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire Police who spend countless hours on the planning and execution of it and to Sunwise Sunglasses who supported the show.
An estimated 100,000 cheering spectators packed the pavements as the battle cries of howling Honda fours and mighty Manx Nortons bounced off the walls of Northwich Police Station and the Magistrates¹ Court. And you don¹t see that very often.
118 competitors owns a pair of Sunwise Windrush sunglasses. Andy Hornsby, editor of American V magazine and a hard core sunglasses wearer, was wearing his Sunwise as in photo.
The atmosphere was electric, the crowds wildly enthusiastic and the good done for motorcycling was immense.
